More on Bruce Chong:
As the Associate Chancellor for Marketing at South University he was instrumental in building the university’s brand as a health professions and nursing institution. The result was a growing university student body and extension of its geographic footprint from strictly Southern roots in Alabama, Florida, Georgia and South Carolina to eleven campus locations and two learning sites in Michigan, North Carolina, Ohio, Texas and Virginia. To achieve that he drove awareness and local marketing channel activities under the umbrella of the university brand and worked with agencies on creative, TV production, digital advertising, copywriting, proofing, digital content, online videos, websites and social media.
Prior to joining university he was the Dean of Communications for the Savannah College of Art and Design managing internal and external communications, including websites, digital marketing, videos, brochures and catalogs. He has worked with admissions, institutional advancement and academic departments to support their communications and marketing needs, and led the creation of videos, speeches and presentations for internal audiences, students, faculty and staff and external audiences and distinguished visitors.
Before moving into marketing and communications in post-secondary education he was an executive producer at CNN and worked as a writer, producer, and reporter in both TV and radio.
