SAVANNAH, Ga., September 29, 2015 - Rob LaBreche, chief executive officer of the online, financial literacy tool iGrad, has joined the board of advisors for startup Vireo Labs.
LaBreche founded iGrad in 2009 with a mission fully focused on financial literacy and empowering the young people of today to make informed financial decisions. iGrad was recently named the “2013 Education Program of the Year-Debt Management” by the Institute for Financial Literacy and the platform is utilized by over 500 campuses throughout the U.S with a total student population of more than 1 million people. The financial literacy platform was also named a “Best Product of 2012 and 2013” by University Business Magazine.
"Rob’s understanding of higher education as it relates to career planning and development is second to none," said Jose Mallabo, Vireo's co-founder and chief executive officer. "As a senior executive at College Loan Corporation he understands the customer marketing dynamics and his work to found and lead iGrad will help us immeasurably in building our first product, extend our reach with product partnerships and new sources for capital."

Mr. LaBreche is considered a financial aid/ financial literacy expert and has appeared in media nationwide, including the Wall Street Journal, USA Today, CNN and many others. He has also been a speaker on financial literacy at conferences throughout the country. Rob founded the company not only because he has a passion for financial literacy but he believed that today’s technology can make the subject much more relevant, compelling and timely. Future company projects include the launching of EnRich.org which will utilize the iGrad platform to make financial literacy tools and resources available to all age groups.
Outside of iGrad, Rob is also passionate about many philanthropic endeavors and founded a charitable organization called Holding Hands Charities back in 2005. The charity has held many high profile events including Heroes on the Harbor on the Midway aircraft carrier, an event to honor wounded service members.
